I just received notice that this Monday the American Academy of Pediatrics will be releasing a new policy on infant circumcision. A tough choice for any parent, circumcision is a controversial topic that demands careful thought and consideration.
If you have a good idea of your plans, you will be in the best position to make your informed decision once your child is born. My reading and research all leads me to believe that circumcision is best left to personal decision-making; there are benefits and drawbacks to the procedure.
